The Executive Board of the Indonesian Shooting and Hunting Association (PB Perbakin) has officially issued a Decree (SKEP) appointing the management of the Jakarta Provincial Board (Pengprov) of Perbakin, followed by the formal inauguration ceremony and plenary meeting of all board formateurs.

The Inauguration and Plenary Meeting of the Jakarta Provincial Board of Perbakin was held at the Bhadawa Building, Police Science College (PTIK), Jakarta, on Saturday (January 24, 2026).
Based on Decree Number: 002/SKEP/KU/PB/I/2026 issued by PB Perbakin, Inspector General of Police Dr. Umar Surya Fana, S.H., S.I.K., M.H., was officially appointed as Chairman of Perbakin DKI Jakarta for the 2026–2030 term.

Speaking to the media and accompanied by Colonel CPM Taryani, Irjen. Pol. Dr. Umar Surya Fana stated that the formation of the new management carries a strong commitment to elevating Jakarta’s shooting sports achievements at both national and international levels.

“The new Perbakin DKI Jakarta management is targeting improved national and international achievements by working closely with 42 shooting clubs as the backbone of athlete development in the Jakarta region. We will maximize existing facilities, including shooting ranges within Jakarta. Our primary focus after the inauguration of the Jakarta KONI board—expected in February—is athlete development in preparation for PON 2028,” he said.

He further emphasized transparency and accountability in organizational governance.

“I can ensure that all programs will be accountable, transparent, and auditable, and truly on target. Our goal is to achieve victories at the SEA Games and expand into broader international competitions. We will activate structured programs under the Jakarta Provincial Government through KONI DKI Jakarta, including coordination in the field of education,” he explained.

Irjen. Pol. Dr. Umar Surya Fana also noted that support from the private sector remains essential, particularly due to limited shooting facilities owned by the Jakarta Provincial Government.

“Coincidentally, I have a personal relationship with Mr. Bagus, the Regional Secretary, which allows for good communication. Additionally, several business partners support us—not in the form of cash, but through equipment, ammunition, and the use of shooting facilities, since the Jakarta Provincial Government does not own many shooting ranges. They act as ‘foster partners’ to help improve what already exists. This system is not new, but we will ensure it is managed properly,” he concluded.

Catatan Redaksi
