Marking potholes along the Blitar-Ngantang Provincial Road with white paint to prevent accidents.
Malang -aswinnews.com- The Indonesian National Defense Movement (PPPKRI) from MADA II Malang Regency marked potholes along the Blitar-Ngantang Provincial Road with white paint to prevent accidents.
Out of a sense of humanity, concern, and care, the Indonesian National Defense Movement (PPPKRI) from Malang Regency took to the streets to prevent accidents. One way is by encouraging the public to be vigilant on the road and obey traffic regulations. All members of the National Defense Movement took part in marking potholes on provincial and district roads with white paint.

This pothole-marking campaign targeted provincial and district roads, specifically from Sidodadi Village to Jombok Village, which has been designated as the Blitar-Ngantang Provincial Road in Ngantang Regency. National Defense Movement members used flags to prevent disruption to road users.
They marked potholes on provincial roads and other roads with white spray paint. The deep and wide potholes were easily visible to motorists, allowing motorcyclists to avoid them and prevent accidents.
Teddy Hendrawan, Head of the Malang Regency Regional Headquarters II (MADA), and also Chairman of the Malang Branch of Aswin (the International Journalists Association), stated that marking the potholes was a concrete act of community service. This action aimed to prevent traffic accidents caused by damaged road infrastructure.
“This action was initiated by all members of the Malang MADA II National Defense Team. We marked the potholes to remind people passing by to be more careful and alert to potholes, especially motorcyclists,” Teddy explained to the media at the location on Sunday (February 8, 2026).
The pothole-marking campaign also targeted main roads in the villages of Sidodadi, Ngantru, Banturejo, Pandansari, Banjarejo Mlagi, and Mulyorejo Sukoanyar in Ngantang Regency. He also expressed his hope that the relevant agencies would expedite the repair of these potholes.
“Alhamdulillah, we also express our sincere gratitude for the participation and support of the Coordinator of Perum Jasa Tirta, the EP Division, and the Selorejo Reservoir Tourism Division, as well as Mr. Indarto from CV Lancar Jaya Unggul, Mlagi Hamlet, and Mr. Aris, a chicken and egg entrepreneur from Ngantru Village, all of whom are deeply concerned about the importance of public road safety. We hope that the relevant parties will expedite the repair of these potholes. During the Road Safety Marking Operation, we hope there will be no more pothole victims in our area,” he explained.
When met during the painting session, Rudianto, a member of the National Defense Team (Bela Negara), familiarly known as Pak Wo, stated, “Not only that, but we, along with all members, also convey traffic regulations, which is also part of the target of the 2026 PPPKRI Bela Negara Safety Painting Operation,” Rudianto explained.
We also urge the public to avoid riding with more than one person, driving while underage, exceeding the speed limit, not wearing seatbelts, using loud exhausts, not wearing helmets, using cell phones while driving, going against the flow of traffic, and driving while drunk.
“This is one of our efforts to help prevent traffic accidents. Thank God, so far, traffic accidents have been minimal,” he concluded. (Team)
