Purwakarta Aims for Highest Award: Verification of KKS 2025 Program

PURWAKARTA – Aswinnews.com — The Purwakarta Regency Government has entered the advanced verification stage of the Healthy City/Regency (KKS) 2025 program. This year, the Purwakarta Regency Government aims to achieve the Swasti Saba Wiwerda award, an upgrade from the Swasti Saba Padapa award received in 2023.

The Regency Secretary, Norman Nugraha, stated that the verification process was attended by the central and West Java provincial verification teams. He added that the target to increase the award is a form of commitment to improving the quality of health and environment for the community.

Several aspects are the main focus of the KKS assessment, including community life, educational institutions, markets, offices, industries, tourism, transportation, and social protection. The verification team provided constructive suggestions and feedback.

“Today, we have just completed the advanced verification related to the Healthy City/Regency program by the verification team from the central government and West Java province,” said Norman Nugraha, who also serves as the Chair of the KKS Steering Committee of Purwakarta Regency.

Norman Nugraha added that the Purwakarta Regency Government is ready to complete administrative and field implementation deficiencies within 2×24 hours, according to the timeline set by the central government.

One of the innovative programs that is the focus of this assessment is the Ngosrek program initiated by the Regent of Purwakarta, Saepul Bahri Binzein, or Om Zein. This program aims to reduce slum areas and is part of the second order of KKS assessment.

The Regent of Purwakarta has issued a circular letter about the Ngosrek Bareng movement, which involves all government elements at the sub-district and village levels, as well as active participation from community components. This movement has received MURI recognition for the largest number of participants in a road cleaning activity.

As a note, Purwakarta Regency previously received the Swasti Saba Padapa award in 2023. The Swasti Saba program is a program from the Ministry of Health that aims to encourage and provide awards to regencies/cities that have successfully created a clean, comfortable, safe, and healthy environment for the community. The award has several levels, including Swasti Saba Padapa, Swasti Saba Wiwerda, and Swasti Saba Wistara, with Wistara being the highest level.
