DPP F-HUKATAN KSBSI HOLDS BPJS KETENAGAKERJAAN SOCIALIZATION WORKSHOP

Effort to Increase Protection for Workers in 5 Sectors in Lampung Province under the HUKATAN Federation

BANDAR LAMPUNG, –aswinnews.com- The Central Executive Board of the Forestry, General Industry, Timber, Agriculture and Plantation Workers Union Federation of the Confederation of All Indonesian Workers Unions (DPP F-HUKATAN KSBSI), in collaboration with DEN KSBSI – WSM Program and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, held a Socialization Workshop on the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan program on Sunday, July 26, 2026 at Hotel Andalas, Jl. Raden Intan No.89, Pelita, Engal, Bandar Lampung City, Lampung 35213, Indonesia. JULY 26-27, 2026

The event was attended by around 25 participants from DPC HUKATAN across Lampung Province. Speakers included Mr. Sonny Alonsye, Head of the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Lampung Branch, and his team. The workshop was officially opened by Mr. Ponijan, Chair of the KSBSI Regional Coordinator for Lampung Province.

In his remarks, Ponijan stated that the workshop aims to increase HUKATAN members’ understanding of the importance of social security protection for workers.

“We in the Forestry, General Industry, Timber, Agriculture and Plantation sectors face high work risks. Through BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, we ensure that our members and their families are protected. This is HUKATAN’s commitment: Our Shared Home,” said Ponijan. He then explained material on Collective Bargaining Agreement (PKB) negotiation techniques.

Mr. Mathias Mehan, MPO of DPP F-HUKATAN KSBSI, also emphasized the importance of BPJS TK membership for all members.

“HUKATAN workers operate in high-risk sectors. From the forest, to factories, to plantations. Therefore, BPJS TK protection is not an option, but a basic necessity. We must ensure all members are registered and their contributions are paid,” he asserted.

This workshop aims to increase HUKATAN members’ understanding across 5 sectors — forestry, general industry, timber, agriculture and plantation — regarding their rights and benefits under the workers’ social security program.

The participants were representatives from DPC HUKATAN across Lampung Province: South Lampung, Central Lampung, East Lampung, Pesawaran, Mesuji, and Bandar Lampung. In addition to the material presentations, there was also a Q&A session and a simulation of membership registration.

Speakers included Mr. Sonny Alonsye from the BPJS TK Bandar Lampung Branch Office, with Mr. Mathias Mehan from DPP F HUKATAN-KSBSI Jakarta serving as moderator. In their presentation, BPJS TK and the team explained the 5 main BPJS TK programs:

1. Work Accident Insurance (JKK)

2. Death Insurance (JKM)

3. Old Age Savings (JHT)

4. Pension Insurance (JP)

5. Job Loss Insurance (JKP)

6. As well as easy registration via the JMO application

The workshop was closed with the presentation of souvenirs/gifts to HUKATAN Lampung Province participants by the Head of the BPJS TK Bandar Lampung Branch Office, to encourage increased membership in the 5 HUKATAN member sectors.

With this workshop, the HUKATAN Federation of Lampung Province targets a 50% increase in active BPJS TK membership among its members by the end of 2026.

Following the 5 BPJS TK programs, DPP F HUKATAN-KSBSI continued the program on the second day, July 27, 2026, by visiting DPC F HUKATAN-KSBSI in Pesawaran Regency to ensure HUKATAN members in the Informal Economy sector are included. Media Contact: Mathias : 085883281406
