PURWAKARTA-ASWINNEWS. COM — The Purwakarta District Attorney’s Office (Kejari) carried out the destruction of various pieces of evidence from 61 general criminal cases that have been legally binding (inkrah). This activity was carried out at the Purwakarta District Attorney’s Office on Wednesday, (May 28, 2025).
The Head of the Purwakarta District Attorney’s Office, Matha Parulina Berliana, stated that the amount of evidence destroyed this time had decreased compared to the previous one.
According to her, this could be an indicator of a decrease in criminal acts in the Purwakarta area, although it still needs to be analyzed comprehensively from various data sources, such as the Central Statistics Agency (BPS).
“The destruction of this evidence is part of the implementation of court decisions that have been inkrah, and is a reflection of transparent law enforcement performance,” said Martha.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Asset Recovery and Evidence Management Section, Dista Anggar, detailed that of the 61 inkrah cases, 35 were narcotics cases.
“Then, six cases related to health violations, one excise case and 19 other cases which include general crimes such as theft, assault, to violations of the ITE Law,” said Dista.
As for the details of the narcotics evidence that was destroyed, there were 2,126 grams of marijuana, 247.79 grams of synthetic tobacco, 120.34 grams of crystal meth and 65 ml of synthetic liquid.
Meanwhile, for health cases, as many as 5,380 pills of illegal drugs were destroyed, including Dextromethorphan, Hexymer, Tramadol, Alprazolam, to Trihexyphenidyl.
The destruction was carried out by blending it with a mixture of floor cleaner and water for narcotics and drugs. In addition, as many as 935,920 illegal cigarettes were also destroyed using an incinerator, “said Dista.
For other general criminal acts such as theft, fraud, possession of sharp weapons, assault, extortion, murder, to ITE violations, the destruction was carried out using various methods according to the type of evidence, in the form of clothes and bags being burned, cellphones and smartphones being destroyed with a hammer, and sharp weapons being ground until they were completely damaged.
Through this activity, the Purwakarta District Attorney’s Office affirmed its commitment to enforcing the law firmly and openly, and ensuring that no evidence is misused.
“We, as the executors of the court, are fully responsible for following up on legal decisions,” concluded Martha.
