Jombang,| Aswinnews.com – In an effort to strengthen economic independence based on local potential, the Watudakon Village Government, Kesamben District, Jombang Regency, held a Special Village Deliberation (Musdesus) on Monday (5/5/2025). The main agenda in this forum is the establishment of the Red and White Village Cooperative, which is expected to be the driving force for residents’ economic activities.
The Musdesus which took place at the Watudakon Village Hall starting at 09.00 WIB was attended by various strategic elements, including Village Head Suharto, S.Sos., ST., Kesamben Sub-district Head Eka Yulianto, S.STP., representatives of the Jombang Regency Cooperative and SME Service, Village Assistants, Babinsa, Bhabinkamtibmas, BPD, and community leaders.
In his speech, the Head of Watudakon Village emphasized that this cooperative is not only a means of business, but also a symbol of the revival of the people’s economy driven by the spirit of mutual cooperation. “The Red and White Cooperative is expected to be a participatory forum in managing village businesses, from agriculture, trade, to local processed products,” he said.
The Head of Kesamben Sub-district also expressed his full support for this initiative. He is committed to facilitating the legalization process of the cooperative so that it can immediately operate officially. “We want this cooperative to be an example of professional village economic management that has a direct impact on the community,” he said.

After the deliberation, a formator team was formed to prepare the organizational structure of the cooperative, design the Articles of Association, and take care of the legality to the relevant agencies. This process will be supervised by the BPD and assisted by the Cooperatives and Village Assistants to ensure that the cooperative runs according to the principles of transparency and accountability.
Support also came from the Jombang Regency Cooperatives Office, which promised technical assistance in managing the cooperative. “The key to the success of the cooperative lies in transparent, participatory management, and is based on the real needs of the community,” said the representative of the office.
The Musdesus was closed with the signing of the minutes of the formation of the cooperative by all stakeholders. This step is an important milestone in the journey of sustainable economic development of Watudakon Village and is based on local wisdom.
