Indramayu Sport Center Becomes Witness, IWO Journalists Spread Ramadan Blessings

Dozens of journalists who are members of the Regional Management of the Online Journalists Association (PD IWO) of Indramayu Regency took to the streets together, distributing hundreds of takjil to road users passing by.

Dressed in proud navy uniforms, the journalists who usually hunt for news have now switched roles to become bringers of happiness.

They distributed takjil packages to motorcyclists, car drivers, and pedestrians who were preparing to welcome the time to break the fast.

The Head of PD IWO Indramayu Regency, Ali Maknawi, emphasized that this activity was a form of journalists’ concern for the community, especially for those who were still on the road when the Maghrib call to prayer sounded.

“We want to share happiness in this month of Ramadan. Hopefully the takjil that we share can help those who haven’t had the chance to break their fast at home,” said Ali.

Secretary of PD IWO Indramayu Regency, Winan, added that this activity is not just about sharing food, but also instilling values ​​of care and togetherness.

“We want to show that journalists not only report news, but also play an active role in humanitarian action. Ramadan is the best moment to share,” he said.

This social action received a positive response from the community. A motorcyclist, Cecep (35), admitted that he was surprised and happy when he was stopped by journalists who gave him takjil.

“I thought there was a raid, but it turned out I got free takjil. Alhamdulillah, this really helps me who is still on my way home from work,” he said with a smile.

Not only motorists, small traders around the Sport Center also felt the benefits of this activity.
