INDRAMAYU-ASWINNEWS COM- The Campaign and Election of the Student Council of Junior High School SMPN 3 Sindang, Wednesday, February 12, 2025, were democratic and lively.
The Election of the New Chairperson and Management of the Student Council for the 2025-2026 term of office was attended by 3 candidate pairs from class VIII, each pair number 1 Nazril – Karneli, 2. Kania Doni and 3. Naira – Dzikri.
This was stated by the Advisor of the Student Council of Junior High School 3 Sindang, Kurnianingsih, S.Pd, to the Editorial Team of aswinnews.com during a visit, on Wednesday (12/02/2025).
Furthermore, Kurnianingsih explained that the series of OSIS Election activities took place from 1 – 20 February 2025 including a series of candidate pair selection activities, mentoring and coaching of candidate pairs by senior OSIS, formulation of vision, mission and work programs, pamphlet campaigns, open campaigns, voting and provision through OSIS leadership training, handover of office and inauguration of the OSIS Chairperson.
“We want to provide democratic learning that is designed as the implementation of elections in general. So that students are accustomed to implementing democratic attitudes and upholding differences according to their respective consciences,” concluded Kurnianingaih, S.Pd.
Meanwhile, the Principal of SMP SMPN 3: Sindang, Hj. Ani Hanifah, S. Pd. M. Pd. told the media that she was very proud of the enthusiasm and enthusiasm of the students in the OSIS General Election. The spirit of leadership should indeed be fostered and developed from an early age to develop the potential for leadership, the formation of positive character and the spirit of innovation and creativity.
“In the OSIS Management Workshop briefing, the selected candidates and OSIS administrators will be given useful materials as provisions for prospective leaders, such as motivation achievement, leadership, public speaking, group dynamics, activity management, making proposals, leading meetings and others,” said Hj. Ani Hanifah, S.Pd, M.Pd.
