Cirebon, Aswinnews.com – The government continues to promote public welfare through policies accelerating the establishment of cooperative enterprises. This aligns with Presidential Instruction (Inpres) and Presidential Decree (Keppres) No. 9 of 2025 initiated by President Prabowo Subianto, which aims to strengthen cooperatives as the people’s economic instrument in pursuit of Indonesia Emas 2045.

As of September 2025, more than 81,000 Merah Putih Village and Urban Cooperatives (KDMP) have been established across Indonesia. These cooperatives serve as a vital instrument in realizing social welfare goals as mandated in the Preamble of the 1945 Constitution and Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution.

MoU Signing Between KDMP and PosPay

On Saturday (20/09/2025), four KDMPs in Gebang Subdistrict—namely Kalimaro, Kalimekar, Gagasari, and Pelayangan Villages—signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Gebang Subdistrict Post Office. The event, held on Pantura Street, took place from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The cooperation focuses on utilizing PosPay’s Payment Point Online Bank (PPOB) services to make it easier for villagers to access a wide range of digital payment services, including electricity, water, telephone, taxes, BPJS (healthcare and social security), as well as parcel delivery services.

Appreciation from Village Cooperatives

Chairman of KDMP Kalimaro, H. M. Rochiyat, SE, representing Kalimekar, Gagasari, and Pelayangan cooperatives, expressed his appreciation for this strategic collaboration.

“This partnership marks an important step for village cooperatives to expand access to capital. By partnering with the Post Office through PPOB, cooperatives can more easily meet requirements to access funding from state-owned banks (Himbara). The funds can then be used to open grocery outlets, village pharmacies, village clinics, warehouses, cold storage, and logistics facilities,” explained Rochiyat.

Support from the Post Office

Head of the Gebang Subdistrict Post Office, Wawan, emphasized that the PPOB cooperation with village cooperatives is essentially “Zero Risk” since the entire system is fully supported by facilities and infrastructure provided by Pos Indonesia.

“We hope this synergy runs smoothly and supports the success of government programs. KDMP is a national strategic project that must be safeguarded together for the welfare of rural communities,” he stressed.

Editorial Note

The strategic move by KDMPs in Gebang Subdistrict to establish a partnership with Pos Indonesia through PosPay demonstrates that cooperatives are not only vehicles for people’s economy but also drivers of digital transformation in villages.

Aswinnews Editorial believes that through this synergy, rural communities will not only gain easier access to financial services but also stronger opportunities to reinforce local economic resilience. Such collaboration is essential to bridge the government’s vision of achieving Indonesia Emas 2045 with inclusive economic development rooted in mutual cooperation and adaptive to technological advancements.
