CIREBON CITY –ASWINNEWS.COM- In order to ensure the safety and security of the Eid homecoming trip, the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) of Cirebon City held an Examination of Eid Homecoming Transportation at Harjamukti Terminal, Cirebon City, and Ciledug Terminal, Cirebon Regency, Thursday, 03/27/2025
This activity was led directly by the Head of BNN Cirebon City, Kombes Pol. Tunggul Sinatrio, S.I.K., M.H., and aims to ensure that all bus drivers who transport passengers are healthy, in prime condition, and free from the influence of drugs.
One of the main steps in this activity is a urine test for all bus drivers operating at the two terminals.
This test is carried out as an effort to prevent potential accidents due to the use of narcotics and illegal drugs that can affect the concentration and physical condition of the driver.
All Bus Drivers Test Negative for Drugs
From the results of the examination conducted, all drivers who underwent urine tests were declared negative or were not indicated to be using drugs. This is good news for the public who will be traveling home, because it ensures that the drivers on duty are in good health and ready to transport passengers safely.
In addition to conducting urine tests, the Cirebon City BNN also provides education to bus drivers and passengers regarding the dangers of drug abuse and its impact on driving safety.
The Head of the Cirebon City BNN, Senior Commissioner of Police. Tunggul Sinatrio, emphasized that drug use can have a fatal impact on the driver’s concentration and reflexes, which has the potential to cause traffic accidents.
Appreciation from Drivers and Passengers
The steps taken by the Cirebon City BNN received a positive response from bus drivers. They considered that this examination was not only a form of supervision, but also an effort to protect them and the passengers they transport.
Passengers who were waiting for departure also appreciated this examination.
They felt calmer and more confident that their trip was safer with the guarantee that the driver driving the bus had been proven to be drug-free.
Support from Various Parties
This activity went smoothly and received support from various parties, including terminal managers, the Regional Government, the Police Chief, the Transportation Agency (Dishub), the Health Agency (Dinkes), BRI, and the Cirebon City Bamagnas DPD.
The Cirebon City BNN plans to continue to carry out similar activities at various strategic points to ensure that the homecoming flow remains safe and free from the threat of drugs.
With this effort, it is hoped that this year’s homecoming can run smoothly, safely, and provide comfort for all travelers who return to their hometowns to celebrate Eid al-Fitr with their beloved families.
