Madiun – AswinNews.com — The Kembara D2 activity organized by BPD 5 DPW PKS Jawa Timur on February 14–15, 2026, at the Waduk Kalibening area, Saradan, Madiun, ran smoothly and was filled with a strong spirit of togetherness.
The event served as a meeting space as well as a learning forum for participants from multiple generations representing various regional branches within BPD 5 DPW PKS East Java.
The series of activities began with a morning exercise session led by Purnomo and attended by around 80 participants.
This was followed by a material presentation from Ahmad Fathoni, Chairman of BPD 5 DPW PKS East Java.
The atmosphere became even more lively when the Chairman of DPD PKS Madiun Regency, Tri Suasana Abadi, S.Kep., delivered motivational reinforcement by sharing his experiences after completing a fifteen-day assignment in Aceh, which inspired the participants.
The excitement peaked during the outbound session that tested participants’ speed, physical strength, and mental toughness. Out of the ten best participants selected, the DPD PKS Jombang contingent successfully placed five representatives at once, demonstrating their dominance and strong fighting spirit.
The five top participants were Edi Susanto, Nabil Taqiyuddin Majid, Abdul Qodir, Duta, and Rizki Jalaludin.
The long journey did not dampen the Jombang contingent’s enthusiasm.
They arrived at the location at around 11:30 PM on Friday night after traveling approximately 56 kilometers. Upon arrival, they immediately set up tents to rest before joining the next day’s activities.
Their fighting spirit drew special attention,
particularly shown by Mubarak, a student from Jombang, who continued participating in the outbound activities despite vomiting due to stomach acid issues in heavy rain.
When the committee offered him a rest break, he politely declined with determination.
The Head of the Jombang contingent, Edi Susanto—also the PKS Jombang City Commander—expressed happiness and pride over the achievement, especially since he himself was among the top five participants.
The Kembara D2 event involved participants of various ages, from the oldest participant, Murdi (60) from Madiun Regency, to the youngest, aged 18, from Mojokerto Regency. Participants’ enthusiasm was reflected in one attendee’s statement:
“It feels great, bro. If there’s an event like this again, I’m ready to join,” said Boy, a participant from Jombang.
More than just an outdoor activity, Kembara D2 became a platform for learning resilience values, strengthening mental character, and fostering brotherhood among cadres across regions and generations.
