PURWAKARTA-Aswinnews. Com — Currently, the Purwakarta Regency Government led by Regent Om Zein is celebrating the 194th anniversary of Purwakarta City and the 57th anniversary of Purwakarta Regency with a series of lively events throughout June to August 2025. The celebration has and will feature various activities involving all levels of society, showcasing cultural richness and a spirit of togetherness.

According to the Instagram account of Purwakarta Diskominfo (@diskominfopwk), several peak event series will be held this week, including the Air Fountain Performance scheduled for July 18-20 at Taman Sri Baduga and the Wayang Golek Performance on July 19 at Taman Pasanggrahan Padjadjaran.

Previously, the excitement of the celebration began with the Torch Parade held on Thursday, June 26, 2025. The torch procession will pass through the route from Pasar Jumaah to Ganda Negara Intersection, creating a spectacular night scene.

The event series continued with the Mitembeyan Anniversary held on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at the Purwakarta Grand Mosque and mosques in each sub-district. The series of events continued with Muru Indung Cai Purwakarta Istimewa at Taman Sri Baduga Mata Air Babakan on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, showcasing local cultural uniqueness.

Then, the excitement of the people’s festival will be felt at the UMKM Expo, Koperasi Festival, and Affordable Food event held for two days, July 12-13, 2025, at Taman Pasanggrahan Padjadjaran.

The peak of the 57th anniversary celebration of Purwakarta Regency will be marked by the Anniversary Ceremony on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Taman Pasanggrahan Padjadjaran. The Nusantara Cultural Festival will enliven the atmosphere on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Pasar Jumaah, on the same day at 3:30 PM. Then, a big challenge will be faced in the MURI Record Ngosrek Purwakarta Istimewa with a target of 250 thousand participants to be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, throughout Purwakarta Regency.

In addition, sports competitions also enliven the celebration, namely the Purwakarta Istimewa Mini Soccer Bupati Cup held from May to August 2025 at Galuh Panca Rasa Stadium, Cibeber Village, Kiarapedes Sub-district.
