Purwakarta Police Raid Night Entertainment Venues and Young People’s Hangouts as well as Liquor Stores

PURWAKARTA – Purwakarta Police deployed personnel from the Narcotics Investigation Unit (Satres), Samapta Unit, Propam Section and Intelkam Unit to conduct a raid and urine test at a nightclub in Purwakarta Regency, on Monday, May 26, 2025, evening.

The activity was led by the Head of the Purwakarta Police Narcotics Investigation Unit, AKP Yudi Wahyudi, in collaboration with Subdenpom III/3-4 Purwakarta.

In this raid, officers focused on the use and distribution of illegal drugs and narcotics.

In addition to checking visitors’ belongings, officers also conducted urine tests. A total of 27 people were tested for urine from the two locations that were raided.

Purwakarta Police Chief, AKBP Lilik Ardhiansyah, Head of Drug Investigation Unit, AKP Yudi Wahyudi said that this raid was carried out to minimize drug trafficking in the jurisdiction of the Purwakarta Police.

“As directed by the Purwakarta Police Chief, the raid on entertainment venues suspected of drug trafficking or users in these places is to minimize drug trafficking in the Purwakarta Regency area,” said Yudi, on Tuesday, May 27, 2025.

In the raid, he continued, his party did not find any visitors or employees who tested positive for using narcotics. Even so, his party will continue to hold similar raids on night entertainment venues.

In addition, said Yudi, his party also conducted raids on cafes and shops suspected of selling alcoholic beverages (miras).

“We also conducted raids on places suspected of selling liquor. In the raids, we managed to confiscate 391 bottles of liquor of various brands and types in two different locations,” he said.

Yudi said that this activity was to maintain and improve the stability of security and public order in order to achieve a conducive public order and security in the Purwakarta Regency area.

“This activity aims to provide a sense of security to the people in Purwakarta Regency and prevent acts of thuggery and crime triggered by alcoholic beverages,” said Yudi.
