ITPB Reopens New Student Registration 2025: National Energy Campus Ready to Produce Superior Human Resources

INDRAMAYU,| Aswinnews.com – The Balongan Petroleum Technology Institute (ITPB), previously known as Akamigas Balongan, has reopened new student registration for the 2025 academic year. The campus, which carries the motto “Advanced and Trusted”, is ready to produce superior human resources in the energy sector, especially oil and gas (migas), with modern facilities and a curriculum that is in line with the needs of the national industry.

ITPB Chancellor, Dr. Ir. Hj. Hanifah Handayani, MT, invited the Indonesian people, especially residents of Indramayu and its surroundings, to take advantage of this opportunity. “Please, if you have children, relatives, family, or neighbors who are interested in studying at ITPB, we are ready to serve you well,” he said on Wednesday (7/5/2025).

ITPB now has two faculties, namely the Faculty of Vocational Studies and the Faculty of Engineering, which offer a total of six study programs:

D3 Petroleum Engineering
D3 Chemical Engineering
D3 Occupational Safety and Fire Fighting
Faculty of Engineering:
S1 Petroleum Engineering
S1 Occupational Safety and Fire Engineering
S1 Environmental Engineering

The transformation from Akamigas to ITPB has been ongoing since the issuance of the Decree of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology No. 4533/EI/HK.03.00/2022 dated August 8, 2022. With the vision of becoming a university that produces quality and highly competitive human resources, ITPB consistently carries out its mission through education according to national standards (SNDIKTI and SKKNI), applied oil and gas research, and community service that emphasizes sustainability and environmental safety.
