Formation of Production Company: TNI-IPB Synergy Strengthens Sustainable Food Independence

Jakarta -aswinnews.com- In order to strengthen the national food security strategy, participants of the TNI Food Security Production Company Technical Guidance (Bimtek) for the 2025 Fiscal Year participated in the third day of training with great enthusiasm. This activity is a real manifestation of strategic collaboration between the TNI and IPB University, which combines military expertise with academic innovation to create sustainable food solutions.

The training focused on freshwater fish farming techniques and sheep farming, carried out in the IPB University Mandala Purwasari Fishery and Cikarawang Farm fostered areas, Dramaga District, Bogor Regency, West Java, Wednesday (4/23/2025). This collaboration emphasizes the commitment of the TNI and IPB in building the capacity of superior human resources in the food sector, while utilizing applied research from leading Indonesian universities.

Bimtek is an important provision before participants return to their respective units to mobilize the Production Company (Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries Platoons). Through IPB University’s assistance, the TNI not only adopts the latest technology, but also ensures the sustainability of the program through a science-based approach.

Previously, on the second day, participants practiced rice cultivation, vertical gardens, and organic fertilizer processing. While on the fourth day, they will take part in a practical cooking session using agricultural, livestock, and fishery products.

This program is proof of the TNI-IPB synergy in producing tough cadres who are adaptive to global food challenges, climate change, and economic stability. IPB University’s full support strengthens the TNI’s foundation in creating an independent and innovative food ecosystem, ready to be implemented throughout Indonesia.
