Regarding the Resam Lapis Village Office Being Closed, Bantan Sub-district Head: We Have Warned and Asked for an SOP to be Created

BENGKALIS – ASWINNEWS. COM – After the news emerged about the Resam Lapis Village Office, Bantan Sub-district, Bengkalis Regency which was found empty and tightly closed during official working hours, Bantan Sub-district Head Rafli Kurniawan finally provided clarification. He stated that he had taken quick steps in responding to the condition.

“I have summoned the Acting Head of Resam Lapis Village and conveyed the incident directly. We have also asked for an SOP for working hours to be created and have given a warning,” said Rafli, Monday (4/21/2025), to the media crew.

According to Rafli, public service is the main responsibility of the village government, and the absence of staff during working hours is a violation of discipline that cannot be tolerated.

“This is our evaluation material. I ask all villages in the Bantan District to improve discipline, don’t wait until it goes viral before getting busy,” he said.

The initial step requested by the Sub-district Head is the preparation and implementation of the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for working hours, which according to him must be implemented and socialized to all village officials.

“We ask that the SOP be truly implemented. Don’t just be a formality. Working hours must be clear, responsibility must be carried out,” he added.

Meanwhile, some residents of Resam Lapis Village still hope that supervision from the sub-district will not stop at just a warning. Residents are asking for ongoing supervision so that similar incidents do not happen again.

“It’s good if they’ve been warned, but supervision must continue. We as the community just want that service to exist, because that’s our right,” said a local resident.
