Deputy Regent Syaefudin, Attends Karangsong Fishermen’s Nadran Indramayu
INDRAMAYU-ASWINNEWS.COM- Thousands of Indramayu residents, Wednesday, April 16, 2925, crowded Karangsong to celebrate the Nadran marine tradition, a biennial traditional ceremony that is a symbol of gratitude for abundant marine products.
This procession was enlivened by a procession of meron carrying buffalo heads, accompanied by traditional arts and regional dances.
Deputy Regent of Indramayu, Syaefudin, attended the event and participated in the procession of throwing buffalo heads into the middle of the sea.
In his remarks, he expressed his appreciation for the solidarity of the Karangsong community and fishermen in maintaining ancestral traditions. Nadran is not only a form of gratitude to Allah SWT, but also a momentum to strengthen solidarity and the cultural identity of coastal communities, namely the spirit of mutual cooperation.
The Karangsong Nadran activity was also enlivened by various folk entertainment and a local UMKM bazaar. The Head of KPL Mina Sumitra, Darto, appreciated the local government that has supported the preservation of the Nadran tradition.
With the implementation of Nadran, it is hoped that the welfare of Karangsong fishermen can increase, thanks to the increased catch.
