Jombang Police Holds First Stage of Corn Harvest, Supports National Food Self-Sufficiency

JOMBANG-ASWINNEWS.COM – Jombang Police, Wednesday, February 26, 2025, participated in the Simultaneous Corn Harvest Video Conference (Vidcon) Phase I, aimed at increasing agricultural production, in order to achieve food security.

Attended by Forkopimda, Forkopimcam Peterongan, Head of Bulog Mojokerto, Religious Figures and the Sumberagung Village Farmers Group Association, Petarongan District, Jombang Regency.

Jombang Police Chief AKBP Ardi Kurniawan, S.H., S.I.K., CPHR, expressed his appreciation for the hard work of the farmers and hoped that this harvest could improve the welfare of the community.

“We really appreciate the dedication of the farmers who have worked hard. Hopefully this harvest will bring great benefits to all of us,” said AKBP Ardi Kurniawan.

The Jombang Police Chief also emphasized the importance of collaboration between farmers, the government and security forces in maintaining food stability in the region.

“Collaboration between farmers, the government and security forces is very important to ensure the availability of sufficient and quality food for the community,” he added.

It is known that the simultaneous corn harvest phase 1 is part of the simultaneous corn planting program for 1 million hectares which will be implemented in 2025. This program is a collaboration between the Police and the Ministry of Agriculture to realize national food self-sufficiency.

The goal is to strengthen national food security, realize food self-sufficiency, accelerate the achievement of food self-sufficiency targets and support the Program of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto.

“We would like to thank all parties who have supported us, so that this corn planting activity can run smoothly until harvest,” concluded AKBP Ardi.
