Kopiah Production Encourages Students of SMA Negeri 1 Tebing Tinggi Through the World of Film

MERANTI –ASWINNEWS.COM – The Kopiah Production Team held a gathering and socialization activity at SMA Negeri 1 Tebing Tinggi, Jalan Pembangunan 2, Selat Panjang Timur, Tebing Tinggi District, Kepulauan Meranti Regency, Riau Province, Friday (21/2/2025). This activity aims to provide students with an understanding of art and film as well as a forum to hone the talents of the younger generation in the arts.

The activity, which was enthusiastically welcomed by the students, presented various materials, ranging from basic acting techniques, the filmmaking process, to the importance of creativity in creating works. In addition to being a place to share knowledge, this event also provided motivation so that students were more confident in exploring their potential.

Efrizon, an actor from Kopiah Production who is known by his stage name Ngah Jon, explained that this team was previously called Melayu Lawak Meranti. “The name change to Kopiah Production is a step to expand the scope of our work while bringing new colors to local entertainment. We want young people here to have space to work and develop,” he said.

M. Syahren, the director who is familiarly called Bang Bero, also conveyed the importance of the role of the younger generation in the development of the creative industry. “Through this activity, we hope to capture the hidden potential of students. The world of film is not just entertainment, but also a medium for education and positive self-expression,” he said.

Meanwhile, Antoni Shidarta, SH., MH., as the producer of Kopiah Production, emphasized his full support for the development of local talent. “We believe that the children of the Meranti Islands have great potential to compete at the regional and national levels. Kopiah Production is committed to being a bridge for those who want to enter the world of art and film,” said Antoni.
