As part of efforts to prevent forest and land fires (Karhutla), Kodim 0303 Bengkalis, through Babinsa Koramil 03/Mandau, including Sertu Handoko, Sertu Joni, and Kopda P. Samosir, conducted a Karhutla patrol in Pematang Pudu Village, Mandau Sub-district, Bengkalis Regency, Riau Province, on Monday, January 27, 2025.
The patrol aimed to monitor fire-prone areas and educate the community about the dangers of Karhutla and the importance of preserving the environment.
The Babinsa inspected several areas considered at high risk for fires and urged the community not to burn land, whether for agricultural purposes or other activities that could trigger fires.
In addition, the Babinsa encouraged residents to take an active role in preventing fires by immediately reporting any suspicious activities.
This patrol is part of Kodim 0303 Bengkalis’s efforts to maintain environmental safety and ensure no fires occur that could damage the ecosystem.
The Karhutla patrol in Pematang Pudu Village also demonstrates strong synergy between the Indonesian Army (TNI), the community, and the government in protecting and preserving nature in Bengkalis Regency.
It is hoped that this activity will increase public awareness of the importance of safeguarding the environment from the potential of forest and land fires.
