HABEMA’S ROSITA HELPED THE ECONOMY OF KUMIKOMO RESIDENTS

Mageabume Puncak, MediaHabema-aswinnews.com- One of the military units under the command of the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command HABEMA, the Task Forces of the Raider Infantry Battalion 323/Buaya Putih Kostrad, is currently conducting mobile security at the border of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, especially in the Puncak Regency, Papua Tengah Province. On Monday, 2 December 2024, the 323 Task Forces, especially the Pintu Jawa Post led by First Lieutenant Caroko, conducted “ROSITA” (Buy up Farming Products) belonging to residents from the Kumikomo Village, Mageabume District, during their task of conducting areal protection patrol.

The Commander of 323 Task Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Tri Wiratno, has emphasized to the Soldiers that activities to help people’s difficulties in their assigned areas are the priority in the main tasks of securing the area. Therefore, on Monday morning, the Soldiers took advantage of their routine security duty by helping the residents’ economy by selling their farming products.

During the Rosita program, the Soldiers went above and beyond their duty, interacting and communicating with the residents. Despite their financial constraints, the Soldiers used their own pocket money to buy and use the products for daily food. This personal sacrifice of the Soldiers to help the residents’ economy is a testament to their unwavering commitment. The sellers were happy because the Soldiers bought their products. One of the sellers, Mama Rina Wonda, was delighted with her revenue that morning and said, “Thank you, Commander 323. God bless.”

Upon receiving the activity report, the HABEMA Commanding General, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, commended the 323 Task Forces’ initiative to buy farming products belonging to residents from Kumikomo Village. His words: ‘The 323 Task Forces’ initiative is a testament to TNI’s commitment to help the people’s economy to support the acceleration of development in the Papua region.’ This recognition from the highest authority in HABEMA is not just a commendation but a testament to the significant impact of such initiatives on the region’s development.
