Kodim 0616 Indramayu held the launching and inauguration event of the Healthy Kitchen program.
The event took place at the Healthy Kitchen premises of Kodim 0616/Indramayu, located at Jalan Letnan Sutejo No. 04 RT/RW 01/01, Margadadi Village, Indramayu District/Regency, on Thursday, January 9, 2025.
This event also marked the distribution of the Central Government Program, Nutritious Lunch (MBG), in the Indramayu Regency area.
The event was led directly by the Commander of Kodim 0616/Indramayu, Letkol Inf Yanuar Setyaga, S.I.P., who also acted as the person in charge of the activity.
In his speech, Commander Letkol Inf Yanuar Setyaga stated that the Healthy Kitchen of Kodim 0616/Indramayu is a flagship program of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, General TNI (HOR) (Ret.) Datuk Seri Prabowo Subianto. This program aims to improve the nutritional status of students, pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and toddlers by providing nutritious food that meets daily Nutritional Adequacy Standards (AKG).
The Commander added, “Alhamdulillah, this program also prioritizes nutrition education and awareness for the community. The provision of free meals or additional nutritious food is a reflection of a pro-people government’s care, aiming for a healthy nation with balanced nutrition.
“With a healthy population, we can build a strong, advanced, and high-quality nation,” he said.
“Since the MBG program is still in its early stages, challenges and unmet needs are expected. We hope these will be collaboratively addressed, including by Forkopimda stakeholders, to ensure the success of this humanitarian program and to build and educate the younger generation towards achieving a Golden Indonesia,” added Commander Yanuar Setyaga.
He emphasized the need for collaboration with all relevant stakeholders in Indramayu Regency.
Additionally, three more Healthy Kitchens are planned to be constructed in Kandanghaur, Jatibarang, and Karangampel sub-districts.
Support from the Regent of Indramayu
In the same event, Indramayu Regent Hj. Nina Agustina explained that the Food and Nutrition Center (SPPG) currently operates in the urban area of Indramayu, serving the MBG program for schools in this area.
The existing SPPG serves 13 schools with a total of 3,023 students.
However, in 2025, the government plans to establish three additional SPPG centers in Karangampel, Jatibarang, and Kandanghaur.
“This SPPG development is the first in the Ciayumajakuning region. We are committed to continuing synergy for the people of Indramayu to improve children’s nutrition,” said Regent Nina Agustina.
She added that the SPPG ensures the quality and nutritional content of the meals. Additionally, as a coastal area, the nutritious meals will incorporate local resources such as fish and other products unique to Indramayu.
