Dispar Successfully Holds 2025 Lampu Colok Cultural Festival, Bengkalis Regional Secretary Presents Awards

BENGKALIS –ASWINNEWS.COM – The Bengkalis Regency Government through the Tourism, Youth and Sports Office (Disparpora) has successfully held the 2025 Lampu Colok Cultural Festival. This annual activity, which is an icon of Ramadan culture, has again received a warm welcome from the public and shows an increase in participation from the previous year.

The peak of the event as well as the presentation of awards for the winners was held on Tuesday night (22/04/2025) at the Official Residence of the Bengkalis Regional Secretary (Sekda), Jalan Pramuka. The awards were presented directly by the Bengkalis Regional Secretary, Ersan Saputra, representing the Bengkalis Regent.

The Head of the Bengkalis Regency Disparpora, Edi Sakura, said that this year the number of festival participants increased to 27 groups, from the previous 25. Participants came not only from Bengkalis Island, but also from Rupat Island and Bathin Solapan District. “This shows that the community’s enthusiasm for preserving culture continues to grow,” said Edi.

The Colok Lamp Festival is not only a place for residents’ creativity in decorating the village with typical Ramadan lights, but also a cultural tourism attraction that has religious and historical value.

The winners of the 2025 Colok Lamp Cultural Festival are as follows:

1st Place: Pangkalan Batang Barat Village, Karya Bhakti Hamlet

2nd Place: Selat Baru Village, Penawar Laut Hamlet

3rd Place: Simpang Ayam Village, Hamlet 1 Parit Tukang

For the Hope category:

Hope 1: Pangkalan Batang Barat Village, Kampung Parit Hamlet

Hope 2: Pangkalan Batang Village

Hope 3: Simpang Ayam Village, Hamlet 2 Makmur

Disparpora hopes that the Colok Lamp Festival can continue to be developed and become part of the promotion of unique cultural tourism in Bengkalis Regency. “We will continue to encourage this tradition to become one of the leading cultural attractions in Riau,” concluded Edi Sakura.
