Dandim 0614/Cirebon City Attends Handover of Cirebon Mayor for the 2025-2030 Period
CIREBON CITY-ASWINNEWS.COM – The Cirebon City Government held a handover ceremony for the Cirebon Mayor for the 2025-2030 term in the Main Lobby, Cirebon City Regional Secretariat, Monday, March 3, 2025.
In this event, Dr. Drs. Agus Mulyadi, M.Si., who has served as Acting Mayor of Cirebon since December 13, 2023, officially handed over his duties and responsibilities to the elected Mayor of Cirebon, Effendi Edo, S.A.P., M.Si.
On that occasion, Dandim 0614/Cirebon City Lieutenant Colonel Inf Saputra Hakki, S.H., M.P.M. also attended the handover ceremony, and was attended by elements of the Cirebon City Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), leaders of vertical agencies, heads of regional apparatuses, leaders of universities, and representatives of various community, religious, and youth organizations.
In his remarks, Agus Mulyadi expressed his gratitude for the implementation of this handover of office.
“Alhamdulillah, today, I have fully handed over my duties and responsibilities as Acting Mayor of Cirebon to the Mayor of Cirebon for the 2025-2030 term,” he said. He also expressed his gratitude to all parties who have supported him during his duties, especially in overseeing the government transition process.
Meanwhile, Effendi Edo, who was accompanied by the Deputy Mayor of Cirebon, Siti Farida Rosmawati, appreciated Agus Mulyadi’s performance over the past 14 months.
“We express our gratitude for the implementation of various tasks, acceleration of programs, and the excellent transition of government,” said Effendi Edo.
In his remarks, the new Mayor of Cirebon also highlighted Presidential Instruction of the Republic of Indonesia Number 1 of 2025 concerning Spending Efficiency in the Implementation of the 2025 State Budget and Regional Budget.
He emphasized that budget efficiency policies should not hinder the implementation of development programs.
“Mrs. Farida and I believe that efficiency should not be an excuse to hamper the implementation of various programs that are oriented towards improving public welfare,” he explained.
Closing his speech, Effendi Edo invited all elements of society to work together in organizing quality governance.
“Let’s work hard to bring Cirebon City towards progress, even though there are challenges of budget efficiency,” he concluded.
After the handover ceremony, Dandim 0614/Cirebon City, Lieutenant Colonel Inf Saputra Hakki, S.H., M.P.M, when contacted by the media expressed his appreciation for the cooperation that has been established with the Cirebon City government. He hopes that the synergy between the TNI and the Cirebon City Government will be even closer, in order to realize a more advanced, safe, and prosperous Cirebon City.
“As part of the state apparatus, the TNI is always ready to support various policies and programs implemented by the regional government. We hope that the collaboration that has been established so far can continue to be improved for the progress of Cirebon City,” he concluded.
