JOMBANG-ASWINNEWS.COM- The Nyadran tradition has become a real form of efforts to Uphold Jawi culture, which contains meaning and spiritual strength for the people of Kabunan, Kebontemu Village.
Nyadran took place at the tomb of Mbah Lanjar Kuning Noto Broto, Saturday, February 15, 2025, presenting an important momentum in strengthening and extending the cultural ties that are thick with Jawi nuances, becoming a forum to appreciate the cultural heritage brought by the ancestors.
Attended by the Sub-district Head, Danramil, Polsek, and Forkompimcam of Peterongan District.
Sirojul Munir, Head of Kebontemu Village, said that the presence of the community who gathered at the tomb of Mbah Lanjar Kuning, not only from the Kabunan area, but also from other villages also flocked to the alms. It is proof of the sense of unity and togetherness that is upheld in this Nyadran celebration.
“They came for a joint prayer, as a form of gratitude for the abundant harvest and the blessings received, as well as the safety given by the creator,” added Sirojul Munir, while inviting the community to always be harmonious.
Teguh, the caretaker of the sacred tomb of Mbah Lanjar Kuning Noto Broto, played an important role in helping the community in praying and social etiquette.
The event began with a procession of tumpeng from the community. And by the village elders, the Kebontemu Village Chronicle was read.
In the evening, it was enlivened by the appearance of Ludruk Budiwijaya, original entertainment from Jombang, which really entertained the people of Kabunan, especially Kebontemu, Peterongan.
