Head of Tourism of Bengkalis Disparbudpora Alwizar: Cap Go Meh Becomes Cultural Tourism Attraction

BENGKALIS –ASWINNEWS.COM – Head of Tourism of Bengkalis Disparbudpora, Alwizar, emphasized that the Cap Go Meh celebration at Cu Bun Kiong Temple, Titi Akar Village, has great potential as a cultural tourism attraction. Therefore, in the Musrenbang of Rupat Utara District, Bengkalis Regency, Riau Province on Friday (2/14/2025), he proposed Titi Akar Village as a Cultural Tourism Village in the Bengkalis Regent’s Decree.

According to Alwizar, the development of the Rupat Island Tourism Special Economic Zone (KEK) must be supported by good management by tourist villages. In 2024, North Rupat recorded 36,383 tourist visits, with an economic turnover of around IDR 21 billion.
