REMBANG, Aswinnews.com – Approximately 490 participants from elementary, middle, and high school levels participated in the ASWIN Cup 1 5K Race Run in 2026, held by the Rembang Regency Branch of ASWIN on Saturday (May 23, 2026).
The event, which commemorates National Education Day, began at 7:00 a.m. Western Indonesian Time, starting at the front and finishing at the tourist area. Participants enthusiastically participated in the race, which ran along the Rembang-Blora National Road.
Participants were distinguished by their educational level with colored t-shirts. Elementary school participants wore white t-shirts, junior high school participants wore red t-shirts, and high school participants wore blue t-shirts.
A registration fee of Rp 40,000 per person was charged to participate in the race. For this fee, participants received a jersey, Pop Mie, mineral water, free swimming facilities, and the opportunity to enter a door prize draw from the committee.

The Head of the ASWIN Cup 1 5K Race Run Committee, , stated that this was the first running race held by ASWIN in Rembang Regency and received an enthusiastic response from the community.
“Thank God, participation reached around 490 participants, not including the chaperones. All participants successfully completed the race and encountered no obstacles during the event,” said Bagas.
According to him, the running sport was chosen based on the high interest of students in the sport. ASWIN also wants to provide a positive platform for students to develop their talents and achievements in sports.
In the competition, the committee provided categories for first, second, and third place, as well as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners for elementary, middle, and high school boys and girls. The winners received certificates, medals, and prize money.
Meanwhile, the Daily Chairperson of the Rembang Regency Association of Athletics (PASI), expressed his appreciation for the ASWIN event, which he believes has revitalized the enthusiasm for athletics in Rembang Regency, which has been dormant for some time.
PASI hopes that similar events can continue annually as a platform to identify promising athletes who can ultimately represent Rembang Regency at the national level.
The Head of the Elementary School Facilities and Infrastructure Section, , also expressed support. He considered the event a positive step in encouraging students to actively participate in sports and other positive activities.
Furthermore, the Education and Culture Office (Disdikpora) hopes that collaboration with ASWIN can continue to be enhanced through various youth and sports activities involving educational institutions from elementary to high school levels in Rembang Regency.
The event proceeded lively, safely, and smoothly, with security from the police and support from various agencies such as the Transportation Agency, the Health Agency (DKK), the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI), and several other parties. Throughout the race, participants were enthusiastic all the way to the finish line, while the community also provided support along the route.
