This thriller-mystery film presents suspense, legal intrigue, and a battle between law, money, and power that tests the limits of its characters’ morality.

The Press Screening & Press Conference for Keadilan: The Verdict was held at Studio 1, XXI Epicentrum, Rasuna Said, Kuningan, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (12/10/2025). The film is scheduled to be released in Indonesian cinemas starting November 20, 2025.

Synopsis

The film Keadilan: The Verdict tells the story of Raka (played by Rio Dewanto), a security guard at the High Court. Raka’s life changes drastically after his wife, Nina (played by Niken Anjani), who is heavily pregnant, is found tragically dead shortly after celebrating her graduation as a lawyer.

Nina’s death is suspected to have been manipulated to protect the defendant, who is the son of the richest man in the city. Consumed by anger and grief, Raka is determined to seek the truth and pursue justice, even though he must face a cunning lawyer played by Reza Rahadian, as well as the powerful forces behind a corrupt legal system.

Two Directors, Two Cinematic Styles

The film was directed by two directors: Lee Chang-hee from South Korea and Yusron Fuadi from Indonesia. Their collaboration presents a blend of the typical South Korean thriller style and the emotional nuances of Indonesia, setting a new standard in local cinema while opening up opportunities for international distribution.

This film also demonstrates creative synergy between the Indonesian and South Korean film industries, enhancing the quality of the story, cinematography, and production.
