Three Early Childhood Education Centers (KB/PAUD) Collaborate to Commemorate National Batik Day 2025 at Selorejo Reservoir, Ngantang

To commemorate National Batik Day, three early childhood education institutions (KB/PAUD) in Ngantang District collaborated to hold an event titled “Festival and Celebration of Great Indonesian Children – Finger Painting Mamaia.” This event was held outdoors at the Selorejo Reservoir Tourism Park and was connected live simultaneously with KB/PAUDs in three districts: Ngantang, Pujon, and Kasembon, which are members of HIMPAUDI Malabar.

The three KB/PAUD institutions collaborating on this activity are:

• KB/PAUD Dewi Sartika

• KB/PAUD Cahaya Hati

• KB/PAUD Rumah Ilmu

• Finger Painting Activity with Mothers

This event featured batik drawing activities using finger painting techniques, involving dozens of KB/PAUD children and their mothers. This activity aims to introduce batik as a cultural heritage from an early age, while also developing children’s fine motor skills and creativity.

In her remarks, the Head of KB/PAUD Dewi Sartika, In Sugiarti, S.Sos, expressed her appreciation for the organization of this activity.

“We hope that collaborations like this can continue to unite educators and non-formal education personnel, and strengthen the role of HIMPAUDI as a forum for the advancement of early childhood education,” she said.

Strengthening Cultural Values ​​and Children’s Creativity

Meanwhile, Nadya Blezynsky, a member of the HIMPAUDI Ngantang District, explained that this activity not only commemorates Batik Day but also serves as a means to instill cultural values ​​and creativity in children from an early age.

“Children need to be introduced to batik culture so they can love and appreciate our national heritage. Through artistic activities like finger painting, they can also develop their creativity and motor skills,” explained Nadya.

She also hopes this activity can be a means of promoting Ngantang’s distinctive batik, so that it becomes better known and loved by the community, starting from the family environment of KB/PAUD (Early Childhood Education) programs.

Encouragement for Integrative Holistic PAUD

Furthermore, Nadya emphasized the importance of support from the Malang Regency Government and the Education Office for PAUD institutions, particularly in encouraging the implementation of Integrative Holistic PAUD (PAUD HI). This program includes comprehensive services in education, health, nutrition, care, and child protection.

“PAUD is the frontline in shaping children’s character and creativity during their golden age. Serious attention to KB/PAUD educators must continue to be increased,” she concluded.

The event proceeded smoothly and concluded with a group photo session, marking the success of cross-institutional collaboration for quality early childhood education in Malang Regency.
