CIREBON, AswinNews.com – The city of Cirebon once again showcases its friendly face of diversity. A strategic collaboration has been initiated by Korem 063/SGJ, the Cirebon National Narcotics Agency (BNNK), and the Regional Leadership Council of BAMAGNAS Cirebon, through an educational program entitled “Upholding Togetherness in Diversity for Religious Tolerance and a Healthy Life Free from Drugs.”
This initiative is more than a ceremonial event—it carries a profound message: to encourage the community to reject drugs while strengthening interfaith tolerance to safeguard harmony in Cirebon.

Commander of Korem 063/SGJ, Colonel (Inf) Hista Soleh Harahap, S.IP., M.IP., M.Han, emphasized the importance of cross-institutional collaboration in maintaining social harmony.
“Cirebon has a long history as the city of wali, a meeting point of cultures and religions. This collaboration is a concrete effort to keep society united, healthy, and free from the dangers of drugs,” he stated.
Echoing this, Head of BNNK Cirebon, Police Commissioner Tunggul Sinatrio, S.I.K., M.H., highlighted that narcotics destroy not only individuals but also social order and family values.
“We invite all elements of society, including religious leaders and interfaith communities, to stand as a stronghold against drugs. If people unite, God willing, Cirebon will be safer,” he said.
Meanwhile, Chairman of BAMAGNAS Cirebon, Mr. Adirao, underlined the vital role of interfaith synergy in this program.
“Religious harmony is the foundation of unity. Through togetherness, we can create a tolerant city that is also free from the threat of drugs,” he affirmed.
This strategic step gained direct support from the Cirebon City Kesbangpol (National and Political Unity Agency), Koramil Kesambi, Harjamukti Subdistrict and Village officials, as well as community organizations under FORKOL. Local media Radio Suara Gratia 95.9 FM, educational institutions such as Islamic Boarding School Madinatunnajah, and interfaith communities representing various houses of worship—including Adventist Church, GMS, GBI Kalvary, GBI Bukit Moria, Catholic Church of St. Joseph, Kalijaga Temple, Talang Pagoda, and Welas Asih Vihara—also expressed their commitment.
This collaboration proves that differences in faith are not barriers but strengths to preserve unity. From the military, law enforcement, government, community organizations, religious leaders, to interfaith communities, all joined hands for one shared goal: a peaceful, tolerant, and drug-free Cirebon.
