90% of Graduates Absorbed in the Industrial World, ITPB is the Right Choice for the Young Generation

Indramayu, May 12, 2025,| Aswinnews.com – The Balongan Petroleum Technology Institute (ITPB) continues to show positive progress in producing superior human resources in the oil and gas sector and related industries. Established in Indramayu, West Java, ITPB recorded that more than 90 percent of its graduates were immediately absorbed by various national and international companies.

The campus located on Jl. Soekarno Hatta, Pekandangan, Indramayu is indeed focused on developing a curriculum that is in sync with industrial needs. Various large companies such as PT Pertamina, Total, Rekind, Elnusa, PLN, Indorama, Masplene, BRI, BTN, ConocoPhillips, Apexindo, Exxon, and USAID have become ITPB’s strategic partners in absorbing graduates.

ITPB currently has two faculties, namely the Faculty of Vocational Studies and the Faculty of Engineering. The Vocational Faculty opens three study programs: Petroleum Engineering (D3), Chemical Engineering (D3), and Occupational Safety and Fire Fighting (D3).

Meanwhile, the Faculty of Engineering offers three S1 programs, namely Petroleum Engineering, Occupational Safety and Fire Engineering, and Environmental Engineering.
The excellence of ITPB graduates is also recognized by its own alumni. Kintan Agnia, an alumna of batch 14 who now works as an SHE WG admin at PT Wijaya Karya Bangunan Gedung Tbk, shared her experience.

“Currently I am involved in the construction project of the Halim Fast Train Station connecting Jakarta-Bandung. A great campus is not measured by how famous its name is, but by how competent its graduates are,” said Kintan.

Seeing the high demand for workers in the industrial sector, the Chancellor of ITPB, Dr. Ir. Hj. Hanifah Handayani, MT, invited the community, especially in Indramayu, not to hesitate to register their children at ITPB.

“ITPB alumni are cool, 90 percent of them have worked in the industrial world. Want to be like them? Come on, register to study at ITPB, which used to be known as Akamigas Balongan,” he invited.
