BENGKALIS — ASWINEWS.COM – Pengkalan Batang Barat Village, Bengkalis District, Bengkalis Regency has achieved a proud achievement after successfully becoming the first place winner in the Village Development Index (IDM) assessment at the Riau Province level in 2024. This achievement is real proof of the village’s success in implementing development based on community participation.

This was conveyed directly by the Acting (Pj) Head of Pengkalan Batang Barat Village, Marvin Samudera, when interviewed in his office on Wednesday, April 16, 2025.

“We are very grateful for this achievement. This is not only the success of the village government, but the result of collective hard work between the government and all elements of society,” said Marvin.

According to him, IDM is an important instrument in measuring the extent to which a village has developed, especially in terms of health, education, economy, and infrastructure. The achievement as the first winner at the provincial level indicates that Pengkalan Batang Barat Village has been able to manage its potential optimally.

“We will not stop here. This success will be a motivation to continue to improve the quality of service, development, and community welfare in the future,” said Marvin.

With this achievement, Pengkalan Batang Barat Village is expected to be an example and inspiration for other villages in implementing inclusive and sustainable development.
