Sumedang Regent Attends Bank bjb 2025 GMS, Ready to Invite Bossman Mardigu to Sumedang
BANDUNG-ASWINNEWS COM- Sumedang Regent H. Dony Ahmad Munir attended the Bank bjb General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS) for the 2024 Fiscal Year held at the Bank bjb Tower in Bandung, Wednesday (16/4/2025). The meeting discussed financial reports and management restructuring, including reducing the number of directors and commissioners.
Regent Dony expressed optimism about the new composition of the board of commissioners which is now filled by professional figures such as Helmi Yahya and Mardigu Wowiek or Bossman Mardigu. He assessed that their presence would be able to improve Bank bjb’s performance.
“The composition of the board of commissioners is now extraordinary. There are Boss Mardigu and Helmi Yahya, professional people who I am sure will be able to oversee and improve Bank bjb’s performance,” he said.
Dony also conveyed his plan to invite Bossman Mardigu to Sumedang in the Reform Corner forum, a cross-sector discussion and education space initiated by the Sumedang Regency Government. He hopes that Mardigu’s presence can be an inspiration in economic transformation and digitalization in the ASN and community environment.
“The presence of Boss Mardigu is expected to spark a spirit of transformation in thinking and acting among the bureaucracy and the community,” said Dony.
In addition, Regent Dony emphasized the importance of increasing Bank bjb’s profits as a driving force for financing regional development. “If profits increase, dividends to the regions will also increase. This will have a direct impact on the ability of local governments to finance development and improve the welfare of the community,” he said.
The proposal to streamline Bank bjb’s management structure itself came from the Governor of West Java Dedi Mulyadi as the controlling shareholder. He emphasized that the selection process for the board of directors and commissioners was carried out independently and professionally without political intervention.
“The bank must be run independently, free from lobbying and political interests. I leave the selection process entirely to the authorized institution,” said Governor Dedi.
