As conveyed by RT. Wari (middle journalist), directly from Pamanukan Subang, Thursday, April 3, 2025.

Wari continued, Dodongkal is a typical food from West Java, especially from the Indramayu area. Dodongkal is a type of cake made from rice flour, sugar, and coconut milk.

“This cake has a soft texture and a sweet taste,” he said.

Klepon is a typical food from Central Java and East Java.
Klepon is a type of cake made from rice flour, sugar, and coconut milk. This cake has a chewy texture and a sweet taste. Klepon is usually filled with brown sugar or granulated sugar.

“So, the difference between dodongkal and klepon lies in the texture and filling. Dodongkal has a soft texture, while klepon has a chewy texture,” explained RT. Wari.
