Bambang Sutrisno Elected as General Chairperson of PB Lemkari 2025-2029
MAKKAH, SAUDI ARABIA – ASWINNEWS.COM- Major General TNI (Mar) Ret. Bambang Sutrisno was officially elected as General Chairperson of the Indonesian Karate-Do Institute (PB Lemkari) for the 2025-2029 period. Elected by acclamation at the 16th Lemkari Congress held at the Graha Marinir Building, Jakarta, on Sunday (9/3), Bambang Sutrisno received full support from 31 Lemkari Provincial Administrators throughout Indonesia and the Chairperson of the Black Belt Council (MSH).
This figure, who is known to be flexible in communicating, has long had a love for the world of sports, especially karate. In his first speech as General Chairperson of PB Lemkari, Bambang Sutrisno introduced a grand vision entitled Panca Cipta Digdaya Lemkari, which is oriented towards the formation of karateka with integrity and achievement.
“We are all fighters, and we must win every fight,” he said.
The five main missions that will be the focus of his leadership include:
1. Creating qualified coaches or the Black Belt Council (MSH).
2. Building athletes who excel at the national and international levels.
3. Producing referees with integrity.
4. Establishing harmony in families and the surrounding environment.
5. Strengthening relationships with stakeholders both in civilian and military circles.
In an online interview, Saturday (22/03/2025) from Mecca Al Mukarramah, where he was performing the Umrah pilgrimage, Bambang Sutrisno likened his leadership to pedaling a bicycle, which requires continuous movement so as not to fall.
“Every pedal is a remembrance of Allah, every effort is a worship of Him. Indeed, this will be difficult, but hasn’t Allah the Almighty promised that behind difficulties there is ease? Let us synergize towards achievement,” he said.
With high enthusiasm and commitment, Bambang Sutrisno is determined to bring PB Lemkari to a better direction, and improve the achievements of Indonesian karate in the national and international arena.
