Shinta Nuriyah Wahid Attends Breaking Fast Together at Al-Aziziyah Islamic Boarding School, Jombang

JOMBANG-ASWINNEWS.COM- In the 2025 Mobile Sahur event, Dr. (H.C) Hj. Shinta Nuriyah Abdurrahman Wahid, wife of the late President Gus Dur, attended the breaking fast together event in Peterongan District, Jombang, Monday evening (10/03/2025).

The event was attended by religious figures, the community, and the poor, and became a momentum to strengthen Islamic brotherhood and increase social awareness during the month of Ramadan.

In her speech, Shinta Nuriyah emphasized that true happiness does not depend on rank and position.

“Rank and position do not necessarily make you happy, but faith and piety will lead you to heaven,” she said.

This event was also supported by figures such as Puan Amal Hayati and Zawiyah Nyai Hj. Shofiyyah Ilyas, who together encouraged women’s empowerment and helped the poor.

Religious sermons and joint prayers further strengthened the participants’ faith.

The extended family of the Al-Aziziyah Islamic Boarding School, through KH. Najib Badul Azis Mashuri, expressed their gratitude for the presence of Mrs. Nyai Hj. Shinta Nuriyah Wahid.

This breaking of the fast together event is real evidence of unity and commitment to improving the quality of faith and piety in society during Ramadan.
