Chairman of the Riau Province MUI Inaugurates the Management of the Bengkalis Regency MUI for the 2024-2029 Term
BENGKALIS – ASWINNEWS.COM – A solemn atmosphere enveloped the Wisma Sri Mahkota Meeting Hall, Jalan Antara Bengkalis, Monday morning, March 10, 2025. In that historic place, the Chairman of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) of Riau Province, H. Ilyas Yusti, led the inauguration of the Management of the Bengkalis Regency MUI for the 2024-2029 term.
Amrizal was officially inaugurated as the General Chairperson of the Bengkalis Regency MUI, with Affan Zahidi as Secretary General and Endang Rahmawati as Treasurer General. The inauguration was attended by a number of important figures, including the Regent of Bengkalis Kasmarni, elements of the Forkopimda, and religious scholars from various sub-districts in Negeri Junjungan.
In his remarks, H. Ilyas Yusti emphasized the importance of the role of the MUI as the guardian of the people’s faith, protector of the community, as well as a partner of the government in building a religious and characterful region. He hopes that the new management will be able to continue the role of the Bengkalis Regency MUI as an institution that is trustworthy and a role model for the community.
“This inauguration is not just a ceremony, but a momentum to strengthen the role of ulama in the community,” said Ilyas Yusti.
Meanwhile, Regent Kasmarni who was present gave a speech, congratulated and congratulated the new management. He emphasized that the synergy between ulama and umara is the key to building a Bengkalis Regency that is dignified, advanced, and prosperous.
“If ulama and umara walk hand in hand, then the welfare of the community will be easier for us to realize. The local government really needs the views, advice, and guidance of the ulama,” said Kasmarni.
The Regent also invited all new MUI administrators to be adaptive to the challenges of the times and actively strengthen the role of MUI in fostering the community. He hopes that in the future the MUI of Bengkalis Regency can expand cooperation with other socio-religious institutions.
Closing the series of events, the Chairman of the MUI of Bengkalis Regency, Amrizal, handed over a book of his work entitled Untukmu MUI: Catatan Pengabdian to Regent Kasmarni, as a symbol of the commitment of the new management in carrying out the mandate.
This inauguration not only strengthens the ranks of the management, but also becomes the initial step to strengthen brotherhood and increase the role of ulama in the development of Bengkalis Regency.
