Gus Sentot Affirms Full Support for AHY at the 6th Democratic Party Congress
JOMBANG-ASWINNEWS.COM – The Chairman of the Democratic Party Branch Leadership Council (DPC) of Jombang Regency, KH Syarif Hidayatullah, S.T., M.MT., or familiarly called Gus Sentot, affirmed full support for Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), to lead the Democratic Party again in the 6th Congress which will be held on 24-26 February 2025 at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Jakarta.

Gus Sentot continued, this Congress will be attended by all Regional Leadership Councils (DPD) and Branch Leadership Councils (DPC) of the Democratic Party from all over Indonesia.
Gus Sentot ensured that the grassroots voices, including the DPC, PAC, and branch administrators of the Jombang Regency Democratic Party, were solid in supporting AHY to return to serve as the General Chairperson of the Democratic Party for the 2025-2030 period.
AHY is Considered a Charismatic and Visionary Leader
According to Gus Sentot, AHY is a figure who has charisma, is wise in making decisions, and is able to unite the entire leadership structure of the Democratic Party in various regions.
“Mas AHY is a young, visionary leader, popular with millennials, and should be a role model for the next generation of the nation. He has also been proven to maintain the party’s solidity and bring the Democrats to further develop in the national political arena,” said Gus Sentot.
He added that AHY’s leadership so far has had a positive impact on the party, especially in strengthening the Democrats’ position as a political force to be reckoned with in Indonesia.
Jombang Democratic Party DPC Support for AHY
The Jombang Democratic Party DPC has shown its commitment to support long before the congress was held. Gus Sentot said that they have formed a community supporting AHY, such as AHY Lovers, Young Democrats (MMD), and various Democrat Party volunteers in Jombang Regency.
“With this community, we are even more steadfast in supporting Mas AHY as the General Chair of the Democrats. He is a firm figure, has mature policies, and is respected both within the party and in the national political arena,” he added.
AHY’s Success as Minister and Future Challenges
Gus Sentot also highlighted AHY’s success during his tenure as Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), where he dared to expose the land mafia practices that had cost the country hundreds of billions of rupiah.
Now, AHY is trusted by President Prabowo Subianto to carry out strategic duties as Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development. This success and track record are considered to further strengthen the belief that AHY is the right leader to lead the Democrat Party to a big victory in the upcoming election.
