Madinatunnajah MI Students Get Used to Standing Ready When the National Anthem Indonesia Raya Plays
CIREBON-ASWINNEWS.COM- In an effort to instill a spirit of nationalism from an early age, students of Madinatunnajah MI, Cirebon City, are now getting used to standing ready when the national anthem Indonesia Raya plays every Monday and Thursday morning and following the reading of the Pancasila text every Tuesday and Thursday morning, at 10:00 WIB. This habit is carried out as a follow-up to the government’s circular that appealed to all educational institutions to foster a spirit of patriotism through respect for the national anthem.
The students, together with teachers and education personnel, solemnly follow this rule as a form of respect for the nation and state. The Head of Madinatunnajah Elementary School, Drs. Rohiman, said that this habit is not just a formality, but also part of the formation of students’ character so that they appreciate the struggles of the heroes more.
“We want to instill national values in students in a simple but meaningful way. It is hoped that this habit will become part of the school culture that shapes their personalities as a generation that loves their country,” said Drs. Rohiman, Head of MI, Friday (07/02).
This activity received full support from the Madinatunnajah Foundation and the teachers who also supervised its implementation every day. With this habit, it is hoped that students will become more accustomed to respecting state symbols and have a sense of love for Indonesia.
