JAKARTA-ASWINNEWS.COM- The confusion surrounding the dualism in the use of the name of the Panca Marga Youth (PPM) organization has raised concerns, Samsudin Siregar, General Chairperson of the Panca Marga Youth, reminded that the Panca Marga Youth and the Indonesian Veteran Legion (LVRI) are important assets in the nation’s historical journey, so the current trend – organizations and associations finally breaking up should not happen to both of them, National Gathering introducing PPM’s new vision, Klink Tower 6th floor, Wednesday (05/02/2025).
He admitted that the ups and downs of the existence of the youth organization of the sons and daughters and descendants of Indonesian independence fighters actually obscure the focus of PPM and LVRI in viewing the reality and challenges of the current generation. With the birth of the beta generation in the Artificial Intelligence (AI) era on January 1, 2025, it is predicted that they will grow into the most intelligent generation because they have unlimited access to knowledge through cyberspace but unfortunately are threatened with an empty life without values because they lose their fighting spirit and empathy for others.
“I am concerned, the condition of the generation that is starting to be far from history is an urgent matter that must be handled seriously. Because in fact the generation that ignores history has no past and no future,” explained Samsudin.
Although he admitted that he had experienced a lot of pressure from various parties, starting from being called an “illegal leader”, receiving threats to freeze the organization to being sued to court, in reality the clear and inkracht Supreme Court Decision sided with me,” explained Samsudin Siregar on the sidelines of the National Silaturahim and PPM New Vision Press Conference, Wednesday (5/2) at the PPM office in the Gatot Soebroto area.
As a follow-up to the Supreme Court Decision No. 598/K/Pdt/2024 issued by the East Jakarta District Court, PPM focuses on real and impactful activities, including holding workshops on economic independence and education for the younger generation, establishing diplomatic partnerships between nations, and inviting the younger generation to get to know fighters and their families through the Bakti Kasih Eyang Pejuang program.
