Habema Held Free Health Treatment And Welcomed Happily By Keikey Residents

DEKAI YAHUKIMO-ASWINNEWS.COM- One of the military units under the command of the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command HABEMA, the Task Forces of the Infantry Battalion 6 Marines, is currently conducting mobile security at the border of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, especially in the Yahukimo Regency area, Papua Pegunungan Province.

On Saturday, 18 January 2025, the Marines Task Forces, especially the Bravo Post led by Second Lieutenant Alter, held a Territorial Activity entitled “Free Health Treatment” for residents of Keikey Village, Dekai District. This activity, a testament to their dedication, helped the residents with difficulties in the health sector, one of the community’s basic needs.

In conducting routine duties, the Marines Task Forces have actively carried out security activities in its area of responsibility.

During its rotine task on Saturday, the Bravo Post had its Medical Team conduct free Health Treatment for the community. The free Health Treatment included general medical check-in, treatment for minor illnesses, provision of vitamins, and education about the importance of maintaining cleanliness and living a healthy lifestyle.

On Saturday morning, the Keikey residents actively participated in the ‘Free Health Treatment’ initiative at the Post. One of them, Mama Ria Turnib, received health treatment for her flu and was provided with medicine and vitamins. After the treatment, Mama Ria expressed her gratitude, saying,

“Thank you, Commander Marines. I feel better now. God bless.”

After receiving the activity report, the HABEMA Commanding General, Major General Lucky Avianto, acknowledged the Marines Task Forces’ initiative to hold ‘Free Health Treatment’ for residents of Keikey Village. His words: “The Marines Task Forces’ initiative is a testament to TNI’s commitment to helping the residents with difficulties in the health sector to support the acceleration of development in the Papua region.” This acknowledgment from the highest authority in HABEMA underscores the significant impact of such initiatives on the region’s development. It instills profound hope and optimism about their potential to shape the region’s future positively. It makes the Task Forces and the community feel recognized and appreciated for their efforts.
