Habema’s Patrol Distributed Basic Necessities To Susumuk Residents


Aifat Maybrat-aswinnews.com- The 501 Task Forces of the Para Raider Infantry Battalion 501/Bajra Yudha Kostrad, a military unit under the command of the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command HABEMA, is currently conducting mobile security at the border of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea. Their unique role includes the distribution of basic necessities, a task they undertook on Wednesday, 1 January 2025, when they secured the Susumuk Village, Aifat District, and distributed packages of basic necessities to the residents at the patrol route.

On the orders of the 501 Task Forces Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Yakhya Wisnu Arianto, the Patrol Team planned and prepared for Patrol and Distribution in the Susumuk Village. This time, the Soldiers interacted and communicated with the residents to discover local developments. The presence of the Soldiers was welcomed happily by the residents, who had the opportunity to meet face to face.

By prioritizing security during activities, harmonious communication between the Soldiers and the residents is increasingly being established, with the initiative to distribute basic necessities. After receiving the Soldiers ‘ free packages, the residents’ joy was immediately visible from their broad smiles and laughter. One of them, Mr Antonius Tabuni, expressed his impression, “Praise God, thank you, Commander 501, for the packages. God bless.”

Upon receiving the activity report, the HABEMA Commanding General, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, commended the 501 Task Forces’ initiative to distribute basic necessities in the Susumuk Village. His words: ‘The 501 Task Forces’ initiative is a testament to TNI’s commitment to provide services for the basic necessities of the community to support the acceleration of development in the Papua region.’ This recognition from the highest authority in HABEMA is not just a commendation but a testament to the significant impact of such initiatives on the region’s development. It instills profound hope and optimism about their potential to shape the region’s future positively.
