Habema Provided Free Medical Services For Aifam Residents
Aifat Timur Tengah Maybrat-aswinnews.com – The Infantry Battalion Task Force (Satgas Yonif) Para Raider 501/Bajra Yudha Kostrad, as part of the HABEMA Operational Command Units in Papua, carried out its Border Security Operation for the RI-PNG border, particularly in Aifam Village, Maybrat Regency, Southwest Papua.
On Tuesday, December 17, 2024, Satgas Yonif 501 Kostrad once again showed its care for the community by providing free healthcare services in the village.
This activity was part of Satgas Yonif 501 Kostrad’s humanitarian mission to support public health programs and strengthen the relationship between the TNI and residents. The healthcare services were aimed at addressing the community’s difficulties in accessing medical facilities and improving their quality of life.
During the activity, residents were visibly enthusiastic, warmly welcoming the officers who kindly served everyone, from children to adults. In addition to medical check-ups and treatments, the medical team also conducted educational sessions on the importance of personal hygiene, preventing infectious diseases, and maintaining a healthy diet. This initiative aimed to help residents not only rely on treatment when they fall ill but also understand the importance of preventive healthcare.
This activity was clear evidence of Satgas Yonif 501 Kostrad’s commitment to not only securing the region but also building synergy with the community through social and humanitarian services.
“This service has been very helpful for us, and the residents were very enthusiastic, especially those who cannot afford to go to health centers or clinics in the city. We are very grateful for Satgas Yonif 501’s initiative in caring for the health of our community,” said the Head of Aifam Village, Junialis.
“The initiative of Satgas Yonif 501 Kostrad in providing free healthcare services to the residents of Aifam Village reflects the TNI’s commitment to supporting the provision of basic services, particularly public health, as part of efforts to accelerate development in Papua,” stated Commander HABEMA, Brigadier General TNI Lucky Avianto, after receiving the activity report.
