Habema Distributed Basic Supplies To Dekai Residents

Dekai Yahukimo-aswinnews.com- The Infantry Battalion Task Force (Satgas Yonif) 6 Marines, a part of the HABEMA Operational Command in Papua, actively carried out Border Security Operations along the RI-PNG Mobile Border, particularly in Yahukimo Regency, Papua Pegunungan Province.

On Monday, December 16, 2024, Satgas Yonif 6 Marines, specifically Pos Bravo led by Letda Mar Alter, organized the distribution of basic supplies (Sembako) to the residents of Dekai Village.

The Commander of Satgas Yonif 6 Marines, Lieutenant Colonel Mar Rismanto Manurung, emphasized to his troops the importance of addressing the basic needs of the community near their posts. Since their deployment in Papua, the personnel of Satgas Yonif 6 Marines had consistently utilized their time to conduct territorial activities aimed at assisting the local community.

On that Monday, the soldiers welcomed several residents of Dekai Village to the post for routine Social Communication (Komsos) to discuss the security developments in the area.

Residents expressed their joy and gratitude for the Marines’ care and attention, particularly during the distribution of basic supplies.

Responding to the assistance, a community leader, Mr. Simon Yahuli, conveyed his appreciation for the efforts of Satgas Yonif 6 Marines.

“We feel at ease with the presence of the TNI in our village. They not only ensure our safety but also genuinely care for us. We feel deeply supported,” he stated with gratitude.

“The initiative of Satgas Yonif 6 Marines to distribute basic supplies to the residents of Dekai Village is an effort by the TNI to provide essential services to support the acceleration of development in Papua,” said Brigadier General TNI Lucky Avianto, Commander of HABEMA, following the activity report.
